Please help so confused. And whoever is sanding that fir, make sure they go easy on it – they’re very soft and you don’t want to take too much wood and patina off. If Jacobean is too dark you can mix it with another lighter color to come up with a blend. White Oak with an Early American stain. Websites like Houzz are great for looking at photos too. I currently have my kitchen and dining in this wood in a honey colour and want it to be more Jacobean 2750 in colour, but I have concerns it’s not suitable to stain and the current floor’s sanding marks may stand out from the new wood.
